Hello all !

I'm happy to present to you my first jump map called doomap.

The map has actually 12 jumps.
There is a leet for each jump,
Or a shorter way with a transition,
Better to think leets are normal way wink

There is still no leet sound,
I'll record them these holliday I hope.
A few icy plates,
...
There is a timer,
So post here your perf day after day tongue

Please give your feedback, I'll prepare next release.

If you found some cheat, bugs or other not wanted things,
Say it i'll clean it in shorter delays than new release lol

I finished it tongue nice work for a first map ! I really enjoy jump ideas. BUT GRABS O_O xD.

and yes... "you will prefer leet way", that's not a joke...
its Leet (max 2-3grabs) or normal+ladder madness ahah,
(i think its normal and noob way more than leet and normal),
if player is really bored trying again and again to leet he can take a ladder way or useless km of corridors to go next tongue
it could be fun for hof, i think 1 transition = 3 attempts to leet or something like that etc.

Some things i already need to correct but not need to be hurry.

- Timers with teleport room, i didnt thought about it. Don't cheat or its second timer way with 2jumps 1&12 haha.
- Teleport room with mistake, j9 is a location and not a teleport lol.

So no too big game play problems.

Thats is a tasty map, Doom!
Whenever i will take up the mouse again, I will sure try this map! Looks nice!

Re-release of map under name r1a.
Same map, but jump 9 teleporter is fixed, and now its propely recompiled.

hem, sorry Teleport j9 is ok, but it will be same mistake "couldn't load bsp" because bsp need also to be renamed.
I sent _r1b so wait to upgrade with this definitive one when it'll be validated by an admin !

Great map ! Very nice jump ideas and amazing design work yikes
Can be confusing at first and too much grab as Fliro said but I still love it !

I only noticed one thing : clipping between glass brushes, I would say it's a cull issue in the shader.

You are true about the clipping point, I was still searching for the best result then I forgot to be definitively clear about it, ahah, heh glass is... fragile smile

Seriousely, i wanted it like all jumps are rollercoaster, for the chaining of each jump and for the dizzy effect it can give smile

Well, the clipping is only noticeable at some specific points in the map, that's not really an issue smile
Concerning the ladders, it's only because people are not use to grab them anymore, but your map as a oldschool feel I enjoy very much ! I also love how the jumps cross each other, this is a cool idea wink

btw, did you actually make the 'doomap' text with brushes ? yikes

Agree with Blind, grab remind me old maps (like bstjumps).

PS : I didn't notice that doomap was written with trigger on first picture btw tongue

Yep it's not so bad actually,
but anyway when I'll have time to make new jumps I'll take a look deeper at every glass places.
Like on the 2nd floor of the transition 7 to 8 ("7b - still not j8?") where junction glass/ground is not good at all, and as u said cull is the prob even there where it's not really a clipping point...

And yea I spent the whole day before release to draw the writing doomap,
I hard played with all degenerate/duplicate etc compiling errors till its perfect 0 error tongue
We could also walk inside letters if player is actually 3little grid8 square tall ahah,
maybe next release with new jumps I'll make the _r2 end there inside letters, or a secret place that I still not made...
It's trigger just the time for the printscreen because it gave a gold smell I thought big_smile
Its still there in the nothingness with my 3 unicolor textures placed random just to have it on the minimap, (I put minimap pics in pk3 just to be sure minimap will be there, but it would be same generated auto) wink

On first picture we can see 3-4 ladders transitions going out of some roofs, I want to say that I was just lazy to duplic them again for more long mdr
it's just to be sure we will not want so much these transitions... Most jumps are drawn on paper at work with all but no transition to help ! I think I never take them again, like it's "cutting" the jump, mmh okay sometimes I bad and I grab one ahah, I tried some /ready, I just grab often j9 because it's the hardest leet for me smile

Did you know you could edit the .tga file generated by UrT after you first launch the map ? That would have been easier to do, but I guess creating the name with brushes is more of an achievement x)

Yep, before release i still wanted to stay in gtk and also wanted to relax doing something with no worry about things to test etc.
But yes next time ill also edit tga, it'll take 5min and will be so much better render than actual auto, a little lighter green maybe ahah but its balanced with almost no green in the map wink

fun : writing doomap is 465 brushes, = 1/6 of whole map tongue

I'm thinking I need to thanks valter))) who has much tried the j9leet,
i don't made it harder or changed idea but his skills on it helped a lot to make it a little more comfortable, but I remember with his distances it fail the leet by touching roof... I don't changed that neither.
After some days, I had it too one or more to touch the roof, then since this day I joked against me and I put a blood pics on this place (can be seen on 9th jump picture here), I say that in particular because valt probably will see/have seen the pics that I put to joke and it can help to understand why smile

Of course I have to thanks also copain, flume, boromir, samsepi, Th3K1ll3r and other that I forget sry ! Who also played the 9/12jumps fast or deeper, I don't changed things but I had a good idea about if map works smile
